A More Secure, Resilient Web

The decentralized web is a network of distributed systems and technologies that operate without relying on central authorities or intermediaries. It aims to provide a more open, secure, and autonomous online environment for users, where they can interact and transact directly, with greater control over their data and digital identity.

  4. Intermediary-free transactions: Decentralized systems allow for direct, peer-to-peer transactions without the need for intermediaries, which can reduce costs and increase efficiency.

A node-based network is far more resilient, but may also struggle with performance and availability.

A decentralized web already exists in the form of peer-to-peer networks. The lack of central servers means a more resilient and (potentially) secure system. However, without the focused capacity of those servers, resources can be limited and scalability becomes an issue.
